Chakras are the energy centers of your body. There are 7 main Chakras that run from the base of your spine, to the top of your head. These Chakras correspond to major organs and certain nerve bundles. To function at their best, Chakras need to stay balanced in order to feel aligned; mind, body and spirit. There are many ways to activate, balance and support each Chakra. Eating certain foods is one way in assisting healing. Each Chakra correlates with a color, Root (red), Sacral (orange), Solar Plexus (yellow), Heart (green), Throat (blue), Third Eye (indigo) and Crown (violet). Think Chakra color for matching fruit and vegetable colors and for some, such as throat, think foods that soothe or support that area that is where the chakra is located.
